Inspection FAQ
What is
a Home Inspection?
A Home Inspection is a Visual examination
of all systems and structural components in
the building. It is very important for us to
list both assets as well as defects so you,
the client, can make an informed decision.
Why should
I get a Home Inspection?
Since buying a home is probably the
biggest investment you will make, all homes
should be inspected prior to final closing.
A home inspection gives the buyer an overall
view of the condition of the home so you know
exactly what you are buying.
Should
I be present at the time of inspection?
Our goal at Murphy’s Home Inspection
is to offer you the most informed inspection
and report. We feel the presence of the buyer
is very important. If it is not possible for
someone to be available, the summary and report
will need to be completely reviewed.
WHAT DOES A MURPHY’S
HOME INSPECTION INCLUDE?
We here at Murphy’s Home Inspection

available. Our report writing system is very easy to
understand with clear descriptive comments. All reports,

from the time of inspection.

is not limited to:

How much
does it cost for a home inspection?
Our basic rate is $300.00 for all
homes up to $300,000 of selling price or 1/10
of 1%. If the price of the home is $350,000,
the inspection cost is $350.00.
